The Ogim, Robinson and Bradford families, owners of Victory Lane Karting in Charlotte, NC along with investors the Clontz family are thrilled to announce their latest venture. In July 2013 Pit Road Bar & Grill will open inside the karting and conference facility. For six years they have successfully dished up the best indoor kart racing in the country and are now fulfilling their dream of running a family-owned restaurant to satisfy the demand for catering the many corporate events held at the facility while also offering food and drink to the walk in and league customers. Pit Road Bar & Grill will be complete with HDTVs as well, bringing you all types of sporting events from Racing to Football and much more…
This is a natural evolution says the family who have a few more attractions planned for the site on Tipton Drive.
Don’t fret, the famous high speed sweeper, the challenging twist’s and turn’s you have come to know and love will still be a part of the racing, but those who are between races and your loved ones who choose not to race will take full advantage of our fast casual menu.
“We are thrilled with this new food concept for our customers,” said the family. The name Pit Road came from Clay Robinson’s career as a pit crew member and current Front Tire Changer for Dale Earnhardt Jr., and the fact that we want all of our customers to feel like their racing experience continues from the track into the restaurant as a place where you can metaphorically get four Goodyear’s and a splash of fuel.
