The Ogrim, Robinson and Bradford families, owners of Victory Lane Karting in Charlotte, NC are thrilled with their latest venture. In October 2013 Pit Road Bar & Grill opened inside the karting and conference facility. Since 2007, they have successfully dished up the best indoor kart racing in the country and are now fulfilling their dream of running a family-owned restaurant to satisfy the demand for catering the many corporate events held at the facility while also offering food and drink to our loyal walk in and league customers. Pit Road Bar & Grill features 20 local craft brews on tap, a solid selection of liquor and wine along with a menu that attracted Guy Fieri for an episode of Food Networks Diners Drive Ins & Dives. We enjoy a respectable following among racers and foodies as well. A wall of HDTVs, brings you all types of sporting events from Racing to Football and much more…
This is a natural evolution says the family who have a few more attractions planned for the site on Tipton Drive.
Don’t fret, the famous high speed sweeper and the challenging twist’s and turn’s you have come to know and love will still be a part of the racing, but those who are between races and your loved ones who choose not to race will take full advantage of our fast casual menu.
“We are thrilled with this new food concept for our customers,” said the family. The name Pit Road came from Partner Clay Robinson’s career as a pit crew member and current Front Tire Changer for Joe Gibbs Racing, and the fact that we want all our customers to feel like their racing experience continues from the track into the restaurant and a place where you can metaphorically get four Goodyear’s and a splash of fuel.
